winding

Winding

Customized

The electrical transformer winding refers to the circuit part of the transformer, which is wound by copper or aluminum wires with high conductivity. The winding should have sufficient insulation strength, mechanical strength and heat resistance.

Tianya Electrical adheres to stringent standards and processes, effectively minimizing electrical transformer losses.

iron core

Core

Iron Core

Tailored to meet specific requirements.

Our iron cores are crafted from high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheets with a 45° full oblique joint structure. Precision lamination ensures minimal clearance at the joints, reducing core losses, excitation currents, and noise levels.

Tianya's expertise in fine craftsmanship extends the service life of the iron core.

oil tank

Oil Tank

The dimensions of the oil tank can be customized according to customer specifications, with options for plain or embossed fins. The tanks can be made from mild steel or stainless steel. All steel tanks undergo thorough sandblasting/shot blasting to remove scales and rust, followed by immediate application of a zinc chromate primer on exterior surfaces. Two coats of smooth, oil-resistant, weather-resistant, and color-retentive gray paint provide excellent anti-rust properties and chemical resistance.

Tianya utilizes advanced production equipment to manufacture all tanks from high-quality steel, ensuring they meet international standards and specified vacuum requirements.

core and assembly

Core and
Assembly

The insulating paper used in the transformer has high dielectric strength, excellent aging resistance, and moisture resistance. The wood is utilized for mechanical strength at the top and bottom. The core coil assembly and tap-changer connections are completed before molding. Ratios, magnetic processes, and vector group are rigorously checked.

drying of active part

Drying of
Active Part

The iron core and coil assembly undergo vacuum drying for a specified duration to eliminate moisture from insulating materials such as cardboard, paper, wood, and electrical tape. Drying time varies based on the amount of insulation material used, which depends on the transformer's rating and voltage level.

main assembly

Main
Assembly

The tank is equipped with drainage valves, high and low-pressure bushings, oil level indicators, and explosion-proof vents.

The core coil assembly is securely placed into the tank and properly locked up.

The tank is filled with pure filtered transformer oil, immersing the assembly fully.

Primary and secondary terminals are connected to the bushings, and the tap-changer handle of the ratio switch is installed where required.

Transformer oil is filled to the desired level under vacuum conditions.

Post-assembly, tests are conducted to ensure the transformer is leak-free.

testing

Testing

Once the transformer is filled with oil and sealed, comprehensive testing begins. Routine tests include:

Transformer winding resistance measurement.

Transformer ratio test.

Transformer vector group test.

Measurement of impedance voltage/short circuit impedance (principal tap) and load loss (Short circuit test).

Measurement of no-load loss and current (Open circuit test)

Measurement of no-load loss and current (Open circuit test)

Measurement of insulation resistance.

Dielectric tests of a transformer.

Tests on on-load tap-changer.

Oil pressure test on the transformer to check for leaks at joints and gaskets.
