Cement production places unusually high demands on a plant's electrical distribution system. Crushers, raw mills, kiln drives, clinker coolers, grinding mills, large fans, conveyors, dust collectors and air compressors create a combination of continuous heavy loads, high motor-starting currents and variable-frequency drive loads.
TY Transformer provides power and distribution transformers for cement plants based on the actual incoming voltage, connected load, operating environment and expansion plan. Our solutions include oil immersed transformers for outdoor substations and heavy-duty main distribution, as well as dry type transformers for indoor electrical rooms and load centers.
Kiln systems, grinding mills, crushers and large induced-draft fans can place significant starting and continuous-load demands on the transformer. Transformer capacity, impedance, temperature rise and short-circuit strength therefore need to be evaluated against the actual motor and VFD load profile rather than selected only by total installed kW.
Cement plants commonly have dust, high ambient temperatures and long operating hours. For outdoor main distribution, an oil-immersed design provides efficient heat dissipation and robust continuous-duty performance. Where transformers are installed indoors, cast-resin dry-type units provide an oil-free solution and can be configured with protective enclosures and forced-air cooling according to site conditions.
A cement plant transformer may remain energized around the clock. Reducing no-load and load losses can therefore produce meaningful lifecycle energy savings. TY uses CRGO silicon steel cores and optimized winding structures to reduce losses and operating noise.
For large cement plants supplied from a 35kV network, our 35kV Oil Immersed Distribution Transformer supports capacities from 630kVA up to 31,500kVA. It uses an ONAN cooling system, CRGO core and customizable copper or aluminum windings, making it suitable for main plant substations and high-capacity industrial distribution.
For medium-voltage plant distribution, the High Efficiency Three Phase Oil Immersed Distribution Transformer covers 30kVA–2500kVA and 6kV–11kV systems. ONAN cooling and a three-phase design make it suitable for outdoor substations supplying cement production lines and auxiliary loads.
Where the transformer must be installed indoors or close to process equipment, the 10kV Dry Type Epoxy Resin Cast Power Transformer provides an oil-free alternative. Available from 30kVA to 2500kVA for 6kV–11kV systems, it uses vacuum-cast epoxy resin windings, CRGO core material and Yyn0 or Dyn11 vector groups.
Incoming voltage: Confirm the actual plant grid or substation voltage.
Required capacity: Calculate from operating load, simultaneity factor, power factor, motor starting requirements and future expansion.
Load characteristics: Identify large motors, crushers, mills, VFDs and other nonlinear loads.
Installation: Indoor or outdoor, ambient temperature, altitude, dust level and ventilation conditions.
Voltage regulation: Specify required tap range and whether off-circuit or on-load regulation is required.
Project standard: IEC 60076 and project-specific testing or documentation requirements should be confirmed before production.
Shijiazhuang Tianya Electric has manufactured transformers and transmission and distribution equipment since 2007. Unlike manufacturers relying heavily on outsourced components, TY produces key materials including transformer cores and electromagnetic wire in-house, giving us better control over material quality, production scheduling and cost.
Our production chain covers core processing, winding, vacuum processing, assembly, testing, packaging and delivery. More than 30 technical specialists support transformer selection and customized engineering according to project voltage, capacity, cooling, enclosure, winding and accessory requirements.
TY operates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. Routine transformer testing covers winding resistance, ratio and vector group, no-load loss and current, load loss and impedance, insulation and dielectric performance, as well as oil-tank leakage checks where applicable.
Planning a new cement plant, production-line expansion or substation upgrade? Send TY Transformer your project country, single-line diagram, primary/secondary voltage, required kVA or load list, frequency, largest motor loads, indoor/outdoor installation conditions, ambient temperature and applicable standards. Our engineering team can recommend a suitable cement plant transformer configuration and prepare a project quotation.
Contact TY Transformer for a cement plant power distribution solution.
Voltage Transformer for Cement Plant helps buyers maintain reliable power in one of the harshest manufacturing environments. Dust and heavy load cycles can increase maintenance pressure if the transformer is not properly specified. Voltage Transformer for Cement Plant supports continuous operation, protects motor-driven equipment, improves load stability, and reduces the risk of production stoppage. It is valuable for new cement lines, plant capacity upgrades, quarry-to-kiln power systems, and replacement of outdated power distribution equipment.
